: • Typical shift: •5:30 AM-1:00 PM•At least one weekend shift is required•Occasional evening shifts of approximately •12:00/1:00 PM-8:00 PM•may be required • Full-time and part-time schedules may be available About the Position Alfred Country Store is looking for an experienced, dependable •Kitchen Supervisor•to join our team.

This is a hands-on kitchen position for someone who enjoys cooking, staying busy, and helping keep a kitchen running smoothly. Our kitchen prepares a variety of foods including deli items, pizza, fried foods, sandwiches, and other made-to-order and prepared foods. We are a locally owned country store serving the Alfred community, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in good food, consistency, cleanliness, and working well with others. working the kitchen and helping lead the shift

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food consistently and according to our standards
Help oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen during scheduled shifts
Coordinate kitchen tasks and keep service running efficiently
Maintain food quality, portioning, and presentation
Help train and support other kitchen employees
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures
Monitor kitchen supplies and communicate inventory needs
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for service
Work with management on menu items, recipes, and kitchen procedures
Help create a positive, dependable work environment for the kitchen team

What We're Looking For:

At least 1 year of commercial cooking or culinary experience
Dependable and able to arrive on time for early morning shifts
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
Able to handle several tasks at once while staying organized
Good communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen sanitation
Attention to food quality and consistency
Ability to take responsibility and help direct other kitchen employees when needed
Previous kitchen leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
Availability to work
at least one weekend shift
We're especially interested in someone who is dependable, takes initiative, and doesn't need to be constantly told what needs to be done.
