We are looking for someone passionate about baking who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic kitchen environment. While your primary focus will be baking, this position is designed for someone who enjoys variety—you will cross-train on line cooking and deli prep, with the ultimate goal of learning all aspects of the store (including cashiering, espresso, specialty drinks, and smoothies). If you love local food, community, and wearing multiple hats, we'd love to meet you. Key Responsibilities Prepare, bake, and display fresh baked goods daily according to market standards. Work the line and assist with deli prep during peak hours. Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen work areas in compliance with food safety standards.

Gradually cross-train in front-of-house operations:

cashiering, crafting espresso drinks, making smoothies, and assisting customers. Track inventory of baking supplies and assist with restocking. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial baking, pastry, or kitchen prep required. Comfort working on a hot line and using standard kitchen equipment. Strong desire to learn all sides of small-business food service and market operations. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, community-first attitude. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable transportation to Fairview, NC.

Pay:

Minimum $19/hr (includes hourly rate + Credit card tips) Range with cash tips inlcuded: $20-25/hr.
