Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Salad/Sandwich/Dessert Person to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh salads, delicious sandwiches, and tempting desserts that delight our customers. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, adherence to safety standards, and excellent communication with kitchen staff will ensure a seamless dining experience. Duties Prepare a variety of salads, sandwiches, and desserts according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, mixers, and other food prep tools Maintain high standards of food safety, handling ingredients properly and adhering to sanitation protocols Support food presentation by garnishing dishes attractively and ensuring quality control before serving Clean workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly to uphold cleanliness standards in the kitchen Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Skills Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients Excellent knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient prep work Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation Experience with meal preparation for catering or restaurant settings is a plus Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen team members and ensure smooth operations This role is perfect for individuals passionate about culinary arts who thrive in fast-paced environments. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
