Kitchen Staff Bethany Public Schools - 4.1 Bethany, OK Job Details Full-time $11 - $14 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Cash register operations Communication with kitchen staff Full Job Description SUMMARY We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic kitchen staff member to join our team at ELEM-HS team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to the overall success of our culinary operations. Hours will be 6:00AM-1:30PM Monday through Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards for taste and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all cooking and storage areas. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Monitor and manage inventory of kitchen supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed. Participate in kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and any operational issues. Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have the ability to learn a register. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus, but not required. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Food handler's certification is preferred, or the willingness to obtain one.
