Pottsville School District is hiring Cafeteria Aides (3 hours a day), and Cafeteria Staff (5.5 hours a day). Positions available are at John S. Clarke Elementary School. Cafeteria Staff Benefits include 5 paid Holidays and 4 sick days per school-year. $11/ hour

Aide Responsibilities:

Ready wash buckets wipe tables, pick up trash from under tables assist students when needed (i.e. opening milk cartons, cutting food) remind students to stay seated and use indoor voices clean spills $13/hour

Staff Responsibilities:

Prepare, portion, and serve food and beverages to students and staff. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, warmers, and dishwashers safely. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, serving lines, and dining areas. Follow USDA school nutrition guidelines and portion control standards. Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supply deliveries. Collect money or manage point-of-sale systems during meal service. Wash dishes, trays, utensils, and cooking equipment. Support the head cook/manager with daily tasks as needed. Interact courteously with students and staff, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Experience:

- Previous experience preferred but not required - Ability to work as a team member
