Owen's Market is a family owned convenience store and deli that serves many customers on a daily basis. We take pride in providing customers with freshly made to order food from our menu. We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing personality, and communicate with customers in a courteous manner.

Responsibilities Include:

Greet customers warmly Memorize our menu and make recommendations to our customers Minor food preparation and order preparation Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift Communicate and work with other team members to bring the highest quality of service to our customers

Qualifications and Skills Necessary:

The ideal candidate should have 1-year experience in the food prep, prep cook, deli, deli service clerk, or food handling environment. Additional experience from food service, food service preparation, food service worker, line cook, or as a deli worker is a plus Retail fast food and customer service may also be considered Strong knowledge of proper food handling/food preparation procedures Able to work as part of a team in a busy deli/kitchen atmosphere Capable of lifting 50 pounds, bending, twisting, and standing for six to eight hours at a time Able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment Salary is competitive.
