ICE PATROL
(SEASONAL)
PARKS AND RECREATION NOVEMBER 2026 THROUGH FEBRUARY 2027
$18.69 PER
HOUR POSITION
: The Watertown Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a reliable and responsible individual to patrol the ice rink surface during open skate sessions and help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: Monitor the condition of the ice surface and report any safety hazards or unsafe conditions. Enforce posted rules and regulations to promote a safe skating environment. Monitor skaters and respond appropriately to safety concerns. Assist injured patrons off the ice and provide basic first aid when necessary. Complete or assist with accident reports as needed. Be the first person on the ice and the last person off the ice. Communicate effectively with patrons, staff, and rink personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be skilled and proficient in skating. Must own and wear their own skates. Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, responsible, and willing to work. Must have reliable transportation to and from Mays Rink at Taft School. Ability to remain attentive and respond appropriately to safety concerns. Must be able to work the following hours: Sundays (November 8th
