• Lifeguard
• to join the aquatics team at our premier client site in
• West Hartford, Connecticut
• . In this role, you'll help create a safe and welcoming aquatic environment while supporting the health and well-being of our client community.
• Schedule:
• + Part-time, 10 hours per week + Weekday evenings: 3:00pm - 8:00pm + And/or weekend hours: 7:45am - 12:00pm Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.
• Key Accountabilities
• + Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.

+ Enforce and explain rules as necessary.

+ Respond appropriately to any emergency.

+ Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.

+ Attend all required staff meetings and training.

+ Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.

+ Maintain a professional attitude.

+ Other duties as needed/assigned.

• Minimum Requirements
• + Must be at least 16 years old.

+ American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.

+ Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.

+ Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.

+ Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools. Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $15 - $16.94/hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
