Pay :

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Lifeguard is responsible for the monitoring and surveillance of all pool activity within our six lane, twenty-five yard indoor swimming pool. The Lifeguard provides a high level of customer service and ensures a safe positive pool environment. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe environment in the pool area by maintaining a high level of alertness, taking occasional walks around the deck to ensure safety of swimmers, responding immediately to an emergency, and actively administers first aid or other established emergency procedures. Safeguards and regulates conduct of members by communicating and enforcing pool policies, rules and regulations in a personable and professional manner to provide a safe and fun atmosphere. May be asked to Instruct and evaluate members in swim lessons. May be asked to instruct adult aqua fitness class. Begin and end classes on time. Be prepared and clean up supplies used after class. Deliver excellent customer service to all members and participants. Greeting members and offering assistance as appropriate. Perform sanitary and cleanliness up keep of the pool area and locker rooms. Set up pool for various activities such as laps, classes, etc. Communicates any potential dangerous elements of the facility to the supervisor. Test the water, record results, and report imbalances to supervisor. Responsible for the opening and closing of the pool and locker rooms. Attends all staff meetings and trainings as required. Report all problems and concerns to the Aquatics Coordinator. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Requirements Education /
Experience:
High School graduate preferred. American Red Cross
CPR & AED
for the Professional Rescuer, American Red Cross First Aid for the professional rescuer, American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification is required.
License/Certification:
First Aid & CPR Certification (Required) Lifeguard Training (Required)
