Duties Constantly observe pool areas to identify potential safety hazards or distressed swimmers, ensuring prompt intervention. Enforce all pool rules and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for guests of all ages. Respond quickly and effectively to water emergencies, including water rescues and medical incidents such as cardiac arrest or injuries. Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking chemical levels to ensure optimal water quality. Provide exceptional guest services by assisting swimmers with questions, offering water safety instruction, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Operate emergency equipment such as AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), first aid kits, and rescue tools confidently during incidents. Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, safety checks, and daily pool operations to support ongoing safety compliance. Manage and communicate lanes to patrons. Qualifications Lifeguard and swim instruction experience a plus. Current Lifeguard, CPR & AED Certification Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently under pressure. Knowledge of water safety procedures, public safety protocols, and aquatic facility operations. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pool maintenance or emergency situations. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that promotes guest confidence and enjoyment.
