Certification Requirement:

Candidates must hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or plan to obtain one prior to June 10 to be considered. We're seeking friendly, dedicated, and enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our team, with opportunities at both our pool and lakefront locations. Pool Staff teach swim lessons to campers of all ages and skill levels, focusing on proper technique, skill development, and water safety in a fun, supportive environment. Lakefront Staff teach water safety around natural bodies of water, including proper entry/exit techniques, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, and safe use of lake inflatables and slides. Lake staff are also responsible for properly fitting and sizing life jackets and supervising the general swim area.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach swim lessons and water safety skills Monitor swimmers and enforce safety rules Assess skill levels and track camper progress Respond appropriately in emergency situations (CPR/First Aid) Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment

Please Note:

This position is seasonal employment full-time from Monday June 14th-Friday, August 13th.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety Familiarity with pool cleaning and maintenance practices Ability to perform heavy lifting for equipment setup and maintenance tasks Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages Previous swim instruction experience preferred If you're passionate about water safety and love working with kids in an energetic summer setting, we'd love to hear from you!
