The Bellefonte YMCA is currently accepting applications for part-time Lifeguards to help maintain a safe and positive environment in our indoor pools. We're looking for dependable staff to fill the following shifts: Monday & Wednesday 2:45 PM

• 7:45 PM Tuesday & Thursday 3:45 PM
• 7:30 PM Friday 3:45 PM
• 6:30 PM Responsibilities Maintain constant vigilance of the pool area and respond proactively to swimmers in distress.

Enforce pool rules and communicate effectively with youth and adults. Stay calm and provide clear direction in emergency situations. Keep the pool and deck area safe and free of hazards. Assist with pool cleaning duties, including vacuuming and other assigned tasks. Maintain physical readiness to perform all American Red Cross lifeguard rescue skills. Qualifications Some high school education required. Current Lifeguard Certification (or ability to obtain certification).
