Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as a Lifeguard, serving the vibrant communities of Nacogdoches and Lufkin! In this energetic role, you will be the frontline guardian of safety at our aquatic facilities, ensuring a fun, secure, and welcoming environment for all guests. Your keen eye, quick response skills, and dedication to water safety will help prevent accidents and respond effectively to emergencies. Responsibilities Monitor pool areas continuously to enforce safety rules and prevent accidents Respond swiftly and effectively to water emergencies, including water rescues and medical incidents Conduct routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking chemical levels to ensure optimal water quality Provide exceptional guest services by assisting visitors with pool rules, directions, and general inquiries Educate guests on water safety practices and basic swimming techniques when appropriate Maintain accurate incident reports and safety logs following emergency responses or safety violations Assist with pool setup, equipment checks, and routine cleaning to uphold a safe and inviting aquatic environment Skills We will certify you in Red Cross - CPR, Lifeguarding, First Aid & AED Strong swimming ability with knowledge of water rescue response techniques Experience working with children and providing water safety instruction in a friendly manner Familiarity with pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing and cleaning routines Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities Knowledge of public safety procedures, first aid protocols, and medical emergency response strategies Ability to perform heavy lifting for equipment handling and pool cleaning tasks confidently Join us in creating a safe, enjoyable aquatic experience for everyone!
