This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities through dedicated caregiving and maintenance. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces to uphold hygiene standards. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe patient lifting practices and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Support residents with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures. Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, reporting concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors. Engage residents in social activities, provide companionship, and promote their rights while respecting individual preferences and dignity. Operate standard passenger vehicles safely for resident outings or appointments, adhering to all driving regulations. Maintain accurate records of care provided, cleaning schedules, incident reports, and resident interactions to ensure compliance with care standards and regulations. Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, memory care techniques, Alzheimer's care, and behavioral management strategies. Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, manual handling techniques, and safe patient lifting practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments within home & community care settings. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while respecting residents' rights and privacy. Hands-on experience in cleaning routines aligned with health standards in senior or retirement home environments. Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift operation or group home experience are advantageous. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 40.0 per week
