Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and floor care to maintain pristine conditions. Safely handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures. Use janitorial equipment effectively to ensure efficient cleaning processes while maintaining safety standards. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture or large supplies to support hotel housekeeping operations. Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during all cleaning activities and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to hotel policies, ensuring all areas meet health regulations and cleanliness expectations. Provide excellent customer service by responding politely to guest requests and ensuring their comfort during their stay. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices. Expertise in floor cleaning, including carpet care, tile maintenance, and floor polishing techniques. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently. Knowledge of chemical agents used in sanitation and floor care, including proper handling and storage procedures. Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with furniture or bulk supplies. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and protocols for maintaining cleanliness standards. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during all cleaning activities.
