Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tuscaloosa - University is seeking dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Room Attendants to join our Housekeeping team. Our Room Attendants play an essential role in creating a great guest experience. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, maintain high cleanliness standards, work efficiently, and represent our hotel professionally. Responsibilities Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning and preparing guestrooms according to hotel and brand standards.

Responsibilities include:

Clean and prepare checkout and stayover guestrooms Make beds and ensure all guest linen is clean, stain-free, and properly presented Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms Clean refrigerators and all required guestroom surfaces and areas Check, refill, and properly maintain guest amenities Vacuum, dust, remove trash, and complete all required cleaning procedures Inspect your own work to ensure each room is guest-ready Maintain an organized, clean, and properly stocked housekeeping cart Use designated cleaning supplies, rags, and equipment appropriately Report maintenance concerns, damages, unusual room conditions, and Lost & Found items Respect guest privacy and follow Do Not Disturb procedures Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests Assist the Housekeeping team with additional assignments when needed Attend the daily Housekeeping team huddle Complete end-of-shift responsibilities and check with Housekeeping Leadership before leaving Quality & Productivity Room Attendants are expected to maintain both quality and efficiency throughout their shift. Under normal room conditions, our standard cleaning times are approximately:

Checkout Room:

30 minutes

Stayover Room:

15 minutes We understand that some guestrooms occasionally require additional attention due to their condition. These situations should be communicated to Housekeeping Leadership, and appropriate accommodations will be made. Quality should never be sacrificed for speed. We are looking for employees who can maintain a productive pace while consistently completing every required cleaning step. We are willing to train dependable candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail. Professional Appearance Room Attendants work in guest-facing areas and are expected to maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Neutral-colored work pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Leggings and sweatpants are not permitted. Hotel-designated work shirts will be provided/required as applicable. Team members are expected to work quietly and professionally in guestrooms and hallways and provide courteous service whenever interacting with guests. Schedule & Availability Hotel occupancy determines our daily workload, so scheduling may vary based on business needs. Weekend and holiday availability is required. University of Alabama football weekends and other special-event weekends are important business periods for our hotel, and team members should expect to work during these times when scheduled. Physical Requirements This is an active position requiring prolonged standing and walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, repetitive movement, pushing a housekeeping cart, lifting/carrying linens and supplies, and performing physical cleaning duties throughout the shift.
