In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene throughout the facility. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across resident rooms, common areas, hallways, and bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Conduct window cleaning and floor care to ensure all surfaces are spotless and well-maintained. Handle laundry services efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing resident linens and clothing. Utilize chemical handling protocols safely when using cleaning agents and sanitizers to maintain infection control standards. Operate pressure washing equipment for exterior cleaning tasks such as walkways, patios, or building exteriors. Maintain sanitation standards by regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces and adhering to infection control procedures. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly during all cleaning activities to ensure safety for yourself and residents. Assist with custodial responsibilities such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment in excellent condition. Support heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture or large items as required by the facility's custodial needs. Follow established janitorial procedures to uphold cleanliness standards consistent with health regulations and facility policies. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a healthcare or assisted living environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently. Experience with commercial cleaning techniques including floor care, window cleaning, sanitation practices, and use of cleaning equipment. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and infection control protocols is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards residents and staff alike. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following detailed cleaning schedules. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks involving heavy lifting, standing, bending, and walking throughout shifts.
