Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to ensure a spotless environment. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and managing waste disposal. Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely according to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure a secure working environment. Perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary to move furniture or supplies safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests professionally and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial/custodial roles within the hospitality industry is preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, floor cleaning, and maintenance of various flooring types. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals responsibly while following safety protocols and understanding safety data sheets (SDS). Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met consistently. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and adherence to sanitation standards is highly desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
