Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, floors, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Handle various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and polishing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment. Safely operate cleaning equipment like vacuums, floor scrubbers, and chemical sprayers while adhering to safety protocols. Manage chemical agents responsibly by understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and following proper handling procedures for chemical safety. Perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary to move furniture or supplies safely, following manual handling guidelines. Maintain sanitation standards in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces to promote hygiene and guest safety. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff well-being at all times. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with a strong understanding of hospitality standards. Knowledge of floor care techniques including chemical handling for different surfaces and industrial cleaning methods. Ability to operate cleaning equipment efficiently while maintaining safety data sheet (SDS) compliance. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and walking throughout shifts. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial experience preferred.
