About We're looking for a dependable, compassionate, and organized person to support our aging parents and keep their home running smoothly. Our parents are Korean, and Korean is their main language. Both have some memory problems, but they are still mobile, and we want to help them stay active and engaged. Our mother is a golfer who enjoys arts and crafts and was an avid gardener. Our father loves food and likes watching the Korean news. They both love taking walks in the park and around the mall. The ideal candidate is warm and patient, and also practical, resourceful, and confident managing the details of a household.

Minimum 25 hours per week Preferred hours: Monday-Friday, starting at 9:30 am

Pay:

$22-$25/hour, commensurate with experience Start date: ASAP Responsibilities Provide kind, respectful, and attentive companionship Encourage an active lifestyle, including regular walks and light physical activity Join in and help with art activities. New art ideas are welcome and will be compensated. Handle light housekeeping, laundry, and tidying Prepare simple meals; run errands and grocery shop Drive to appointments, errands, and outings Keep schedules, appointments, and associated paperwork organized Communicate clearly with family members, other caregivers, and service providers Keep the home safe, orderly, and well maintained Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable car Lives in or near Wellington preferred Fluent in spoken and written English Experience caring for older adults preferred Experience with memory care a plus CNA or HHA certification a plus Reliable, trustworthy, patient, and discreet in a private home Organized and proactive: notices what needs doing and takes initiative Comfortable with a smartphone, texting, and email Able to problem-solve independently Positive attitude and good communication skills References and background check required To apply, please send a brief introduction, your relevant experience, your availability, and references.
