The housekeeping team at Rio Piedra creates the foundation of the overall guest experience and helps ensure our guests feel as though they arrived at their own personal sanctuary as soon as they arrive on property. Because we limit occupancy to a maximum of 40 guests per night, our guests expect exceptional service and a commitment to cleanliness that one would find at any five-star hotel. Successful candidates will possess a strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment. Long term advancement opportunities exist. The start date for this position is October 1st 2026 and runs through late-March/ early April 2027. We do close briefly for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Job Responsibilities Thoroughly cleaning all aspects of each room/cabin and maintain 5-star standards for cleanliness Regularly clean common areas through the main lodge Strip rooms of dirty linens and trash Stock rooms with clean linens, amenities and making beds in a professional manner Conducting detailed cleaning projects periodically Conduct daily room inspections for any issues or maintenance needs, and report damages and/or maintenance needs to the front desk and management team Wash, dry, iron and fold laundry- primarily linens Communicate with the front desk when rooms are ready for guests Fulfill additional tasks as needed and defined by the lead housekeeper or by any other member of the management team
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
We provide on-site training although previous experience in housekeeping is helpful. To be successful in this role, candidates must: Possess a strong attention to detail Value cleanliness Able to consistently lift 25+ pounds and make frequent trips up and down one level of stairs Possess strong communication skills and time management skills. To be considered for this position applicants must be able to read and write and have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Conduct business and personal affairs with an unwavering commitment to integrity Compensation and other perks: Pay based on experience, but rates typically start around $14.00/hour plus tips. Discounted employee housing is provided for out of state employees, includes utilities (water, gas, electric, internet) and costs $150/week. Our goal is for each team member to have their own bedroom, though there is a small possibility you may have a roommate. Meals are provided on those days/shifts that you are working
