$15.00 - $22.00 hour Job Summary We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Household Organizer & Maintenance Assistant to help keep a local home running cleanly, neatly, and efficiently. This position offers complete schedule flexibility—you choose your own working hours and shift times up to 8 hours per day, 3 days a week. We are looking for an individual seeking a stable, long-term partnership to become a trusted, consistent part of our household's routine. This role is ideal for someone who loves creating visual order and blends dedicated home organization and wardrobe care with thorough, routine general cleaning.
Core Responsibilities General Cleaning:
Keeping the entire home pristine by thoroughly dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets and rugs, sweeping and mopping hard floors, sanitizing bathrooms (toilets, showers, mirrors), and deep-cleaning kitchen surfaces (counters, sinks, appliance exteriors).
Clothing & Wardrobe Care:
Managing full-cycle laundry (sorting, washing, drying, and stain treating); neatly file-folding clothes into drawers; hanging items uniformly; and organizing closets by style and color.
Home Organization:
Categorizing, decluttering, and setting up smart storage systems in high-traffic zones like pantries, linen closets, and home offices. Manage household inventory, supplies, and grocery shopping to ensure all essentials are stocked and organized.
Daily Upkeep:
Taking care of daily tasks like washing dishes, loading/unloading the dishwasher, changing bed sheets, emptying trash bins, and returning items to their designated storage spots.
Key Requirements Long-Term Commitment:
Seeking candidates looking for a long-term arrangement (ideally 6+ months or longer) rather than short-term or temporary work.
Background Check:
Must be willing to undergo a standard criminal background check and reference check prior to hiring, as this position involves working inside a private family residence.
Cleaning & Organizing Experience:
Prior experience in housekeeping, residential cleaning, laundry management, or professional organizing is highly preferred.
Independent Worker:
Punctual, self-motivated, and able to manage your time effectively since you control your own flexible schedule.
Physical Ability:
Comfortable being on your feet, bending, kneeling, handling laundry baskets, and lifting storage containers or cleaning equipment.
Trustworthy:
Complete respect for family privacy, discretion, and a non-judgmental attitude.
Local & Reliable:
Must have your own dependable transportation to travel to the home in the Grayson/Gwinnett area.
