Location:

Eldorado, IL Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and other designated facility spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to established cleaning schedules and facility standards. Clean and sanitize resident bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and other fixtures. Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste according to facility policies and infection prevention guidelines. Replenish paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, and other housekeeping supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets, equipment, and storage areas. Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and housekeeping equipment. Assist with deep cleaning and special cleaning projects as assigned. Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor. Follow all infection prevention and control procedures to help maintain a safe environment for residents and staff. Respect resident privacy, dignity, and personal belongings while performing housekeeping duties. Respond promptly and professionally to housekeeping requests from residents, staff, and management. Work collaboratively with nursing, maintenance, laundry, and other departments to ensure facility cleanliness. Complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by housekeeping management or facility leadership. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience is preferred but not required. Experience working in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care facility, or healthcare setting is a plus. Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation, and infection prevention practices is preferred. Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and housekeeping equipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must demonstrate professionalism, respect, and compassion when interacting with residents, visitors, and staff.
