As a Housekeeping Aide, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our residents, their families, and our staff. Housekeeping Aide Responsibilities Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, recreational spaces, nurses' stations, break rooms, and other facility areas. Dust and clean furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating and cooling units, and other surfaces. Clean windows, mirrors, drapes, and privacy curtains as needed. Vacuum, deodorize, and disinfect carpets. Sweep, dust, mop, strip, wax, buff, and disinfect floors as assigned. Clean and disinfect walls and ceilings as needed. Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store equipment and supplies. Dispose of waste properly and replace trash can liners. Follow infection control procedures, universal precautions, and fire safety policies. Place appropriate caution and safety signs before performing housekeeping tasks. Report defective call lights, burned-out bulbs, broken lights, and other maintenance concerns to the supervisor promptly. Turn in lost and found items to the supervisor. Wash and care for facility linens, bedding, and residents' personal clothing. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Dependability and a willingness to work as part of a team. Compassion and respect for residents and their personal belongings.
