Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, bathroom sanitation, and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and inviting for guests. Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety guidelines to prevent injury. Utilize industrial cleaning equipment effectively to ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are met consistently. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to document completed tasks, report maintenance issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or room amenities with excellent customer service skills. Adhere to hotel emergency procedures when necessary to ensure guest safety at all times. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including floor care and sanitation practices. Experience handling chemical agents safely while performing cleaning tasks. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools. Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely during routine duties. Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping management processes and standards for maintaining guest satisfaction.
