Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a pristine environment. Handle chemical agents safely and correctly, following all safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to maintain a safe workspace. Perform floor care duties such as mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the property. Assist with the management of housekeeping supplies inventory and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, ensuring guest safety during any incident or evacuation. Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any issues or damages observed during rounds. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial work, with a strong understanding of janitorial practices and industrial cleaning methods. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management systems is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and understanding safety data sheets (SDS). Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in hospitality or hotel experience is highly desirable.
