Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation of bathrooms and kitchens. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure hygienic environments. Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and janitorial tools with safety and precision. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or appliances while adhering to proper safety protocols. Maintain organized storage of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for daily tasks. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and provide excellent customer service throughout each visit. Manage time efficiently to complete scheduled tasks within designated periods while maintaining high-quality standards. Ensure outdoor work areas are kept clean when applicable, including patios or entryways. Follow all health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures, handling chemicals, and equipment use. Qualifications Proven experience in residential cleaning or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices. Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards. Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper usage protocols for various surfaces. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work when necessary. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple client locations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs and expectations. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools. Attention to detail in dusting, surface sanitation, and overall cleanliness maintenance. Previous housekeeping management experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates.
