Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure a secure environment. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and care for different floor surfaces to maintain pristine conditions. Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies with proper manual handling procedures to prevent injury. Restock amenities like towels, toiletries, and linens to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, including sanitation protocols during health crises or safety incidents. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, report maintenance issues promptly, and adhere to hotel housekeeping management standards. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with strong custodial expertise. Skilled in floor care techniques including floor cleaning, polishing, and maintenance of various flooring types. Proficient in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners. Knowledgeable about chemical handling practices and safety procedures related to janitorial supplies and industrial cleaning agents. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and protocols for sanitation and safety compliance. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
