Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and breakfast zones by sweeping, mopping, and ensuring floors are spotless and safe. Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Set up and maintain breakfast service areas, ensuring all food presentation standards are met while adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning equipment or supplies to ensure efficient operations without risking injury. Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary, maintaining safety and security for guests and staff alike. Provide friendly customer service by addressing guest inquiries or requests promptly and courteously, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hotel housekeeping or industrial cleaning environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to handle cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, or steam cleaners efficiently. Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, polishing, and carpet cleaning is advantageous. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards ensures high-quality service delivery. Experience with hotel emergency procedures enhances safety awareness in fast-paced environments. Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies or furniture are essential. Excellent customer service skills combined with hospitality experience will support a positive guest experience.
