Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest areas and public spaces. Duties Perform comprehensive floor cleaning and care using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents to ensure spotless surfaces. Handle various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitation of guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and public areas. Manage the safe handling and application of chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment to support housekeeping operations. Maintain cleanliness standards by regularly inspecting assigned areas and promptly addressing any sanitation issues or maintenance needs. Support hotel housekeeping management by replenishing supplies, organizing storage areas, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Respond efficiently to guest requests or emergencies following hotel emergency procedures to uphold safety and service excellence. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial work, industrial cleaning, or custodial roles within hospitality or similar environments. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation practices, and the proper use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to SDS guidelines and safety procedures. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management processes is preferred but not required.
