Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to join our healthcare facility team. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of some resident rooms, common areas, hallways, restrooms, and administrative spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing while following proper chemical handling procedures. Follow safety protocols including OSHA guidelines for chemical agent handling, manual handling techniques, and safe lifting practices to prevent injuries. Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, laundry logs, and safety inspections in compliance with healthcare infection prevention protocols. Ensure environmental services meet sanitation standards aligned with healthcare facility requirements and regulatory compliance. Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and chemicals while adhering to environmental services best practices. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or commercial cleaning environments is highly preferred. Experience with healthcare infection prevention and control practices is advantageous. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while maintaining a high level of sanitation. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards patients, staff, and visitors.
