Job Overview:

This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas, including but not limited to: guest rooms, common areas, & meeting/conference rooms This role may also include managing laundry services, such as sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Sweep, vacuum, mop, and sanitize surfaces. Dust and polish furniture. Empty trash and waste receptacles. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and stored properly. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.

Laundry Services:

Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing. Operate and maintain laundry equipment by following hotel/manufacturer guidelines and safety standards. Inspect items for stains or damage. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry area. Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies.

Other Duties:

Follow established procedures and schedules. Adhere to health and safety regulations. Communicate with guests and colleagues professionally. May involve assisting in other areas as needed, like setting up for events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in the hospitality industry and housekeeping is preferred. Attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions accurately. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of operating laundry equipment. Knowledge of laundering techniques and fabric care is a plus. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.

Other:

Must be able to read Standard English. May require lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. May require knowledge of using cleaning chemicals safely. Must have reliable transportation and housing.

Physical Demands:

Housekeeping and laundry roles can be physically demanding, requiring activities such as: Standing for long periods. Bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Lifting and moving heavy items, like laundry loads or furniture. Pushing and pulling cleaning equipment and carts.

Pay:

$15.00 per hour
