Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming carpets, dusting surfaces, and replenishing amenities to ensure a pristine environment. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and breakfast areas by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, and sanitizing surfaces. Handle cleaning agents and chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Use various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and janitorial tools efficiently to achieve optimal results. Conduct heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or supplies to facilitate efficient cleaning routines. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff at all times. Manage custodial supplies inventory and report maintenance or repair needs promptly to housekeeping management. Qualifications Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning and chemical handling. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving equipment or furniture. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical agents used in cleaning. Demonstrated reliability with a strong work ethic and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across all hotel areas.
