SUMMARY Room Attendants work in a variety of 1-5 bedroom condominium and hotel units. Responsibilities include maintaining the highest quality for keeping our condominiums and hotel rooms cleaned. Individuals must have the ability to take direction and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Some heavy lifting required. Detail oriented, dedicated and dependable and must be able to work any weekday, weekend or holiday shifts scheduled.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(include the following, other duties may be assigned) Hotel Jay duties will include, but not be limited to: o Cleaning the lobby in the morning & afternoon o Cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, watering plants, etc. o Busiest days are Friday and Sunday Condo duties will include, but not be limited to: o Travelling by van to condo sites (driving Jay Peak vehicles on occasion) o Stocking vehicles and cellars with linens as needed o Cleaning using a vacuum or carpet cleaner o Handling firewood, cleaning fireplaces o Cleaning ovens, floors, ceramics, etc. Floor cleaning is performed on hands and knees. o May be required to shovel snow on occasion You will be required to handle cleaning chemicals. Employees are instructed in safe handling of these chemicals and this policy will be strictly enforced. Employees are required to go in and out of vehicles and buildings on a frequent basis in many weather conditions that can be challenging. Proper footwear is essential to the safety of the employee and our policy regarding proper footwear will be strictly enforced. Position requires that employees wear and maintain clean uniforms and name tags. Must have a professional and courteous attitude towards guests, other employees and the general public at all times. Other duties as assigned by supervisor, which could be directly related, or un-related to original position.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability provide excellent customer service to our guests. Ability handle more than one task, simultaneously in a calm manner.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a professional and courteous attitude towards guests, other employees and the general public at all times.

RESORT CONDITIONS
This is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are varied, and in many cases include steep stairways, multilevel buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Some facilities are located at the base or bottom area and some are semi-remote and can only be reached by traveling via chair lift(s), skis or snowboards. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
