Production Manager Position Summary The Greenware Finishing Technician is responsible fordemolding, cleaning, refining, and preparing cast ceramic greenware for bisque firing. This role ensures that all pieces meet American Bisque quality standards before entering the kiln. Attention to detail, consistency, and efficiency are essential to maintaining production flow and product quality. Key Responsibilities Greenware Cleaning & Finishing Remove seam lines, mold marks, and imperfections from cast pieces Sponge and smooth surfaces without altering design details Inspect pieces for cracks, thin spots, warping, or casting defects Ensure vent holes are properly cleaned and finished Maintain consistent wall thickness and structural integrity Quality Control Identify and separate defective pieces Communicate recurring mold or casting issues to supervisors Maintain high quality standards for wholesale production Production Flow Stage cleaned greenware for drying and kiln loading Work efficiently to meet daily production quotas Assist with light casting or mold prep when needed Workstation & Safety Keep workspace clean and organized Wear required PPE when necessary Handle fragile greenware carefully to minimize loss Qualifications Prior ceramics experience preferred (casting or studio work a plus) Strong attention to detail Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Comfortable performing repetitive handwork Ability to meet production goals Team-oriented mindset Physical Requirements Frequent hand and wrist movement Lifting up to 25 lbs Ability to work in a production environment with clay dust (with safety controls in place) Performance Expectations Maintain consistent quality standards Meet established daily piece targets Minimize breakage and waste Contribute positively to team morale and workflow Schedule Part-time or full-time positions available Flexible scheduling based on production needs Why Join American Bisque? $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
