In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and packaging meat products in accordance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong knife skills, knowledge of meat cutting techniques, and experience working within a food processing environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality meat production while adhering to strict safety and sanitation protocols. The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient operations and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat products using appropriate knives and equipment, ensuring precision and quality. Follow established manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency in product output. Operate machinery safely and efficiently, including grinders, slicers, and packaging equipment, while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain strict sanitation practices by cleaning work areas and equipment regularly in compliance with OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and USDA regulations. Package finished products accurately using proper labeling techniques to ensure traceability and compliance with food safety standards. Monitor product quality throughout the processing stages, identifying any deviations or defects for immediate correction. Assist in inventory management by tracking raw materials and finished goods according to company procedures. Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) use at all times to ensure personal safety and prevent contamination. Support food safety management efforts by following HACCP plans and participating in routine safety audits. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks to optimize workflow efficiency. Experience Prior experience working in a food processing plant or meat industry environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of meat product production processes, including butchery and meat cutting techniques. Familiarity with OSHA standards, GMP practices, sanitation procedures, and USDA regulations related to food safety. Experience operating manufacturing equipment safely within a regulated environment. Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and quality control assessments. Proven ability to follow detailed instructions and comply with regulatory/legal standards in production settings. Strong mechanical knowledge related to processing machinery is advantageous. Previous experience with packaging processes within the food industry is desirable.
