Job Description

Position Summary The Post Harvest Manager directly oversees the daily operations of the drying, processing and logistics departments, ensuring efficient workflow, product quality, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and team performance. This position is responsible for coordinating daily post-harvest, processing, and logistics activities, in communication with Supervisors and Leads. Monitoring production schedules, conducting operational audits, maintaining accurate inventory and compliance records, and ensuring timely movement of product through each stage of the post-harvest process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operational Leadership / Team Management Collaborate with Cultivation, Processing, and Production teams to maintain an accurate live production schedule. Maintain an open agenda for any potential changes to production plan based on production needs. Coordinate harvest intake and dry product movement to maximize drying capacity and operational efficiency. Provide production status updates throughout the shift, including available drying space and inventory readiness. Assist in forecasting production needs Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and developing post-harvest employees. Conduct daily shift huddles and communicate production goals, priorities, and safety expectations. Assist with employee scheduling, attendance management, and labor planning. Inventory & Compliance Management Oversee the daily intake, tracking, transfer, and outtake of dried cannabis products with supervisor and leads. Verify harvest weights, batch information, and inventory movements for accuracy with Data Lead. Ensure all inventory transactions are properly recorded in the State appointed S2S system Maintain complete and accurate production records while ensuring compliance with all state regulations and company SOPs in collaboration with Company Leadership. Conduct routine daily and weekly operational audits to verify inventory accuracy, production data, and workflow compliance. Immediately investigate and report inventory discrepancies, compliance issues, or product quality concerns. Logistic and Compliance Management Assist with maintaining adherence to state and local seed-to-sale tracking systems, managing manifests, compliance tags, and secure storage Supervise picking, packing, QA/QC checkpoints, toting, and sealing of finished goods for scheduled deliveries. Conduct physical cycle counts, audit systems, and handle reconciliation for waste, processing loss, or weight variances Assist coordination of delivery schedules, fleet maintenance, and route planning while ensuring secure chain-of-custody protocols. Check facilities and prepare for state regulatory visits. Learn new laws and share them with the team. Keep accurate files for licenses and product testing. Qualifications & requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in cultivation or horticultural production, greenhouse operations, or controlled environment in agriculture Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role with direct responsibility for employee oversight, hiring, performance management, and disciplinary processes Experience working in a regulated industry (cannabis preferred), including compliance with seed-to-sale tracking systems and regulatory reporting requirements Experience with regulatory compliance and seed-to-sale tracking systems Strong leadership, organizational, and documentation skills Work Environment & Physical Requirements Exposure to humidity, agricultural chemicals, and varying temperatures Degree in related field preferred Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
