Harvest & Processing Manager Position Summary The Harvesting & Trimming Technician is responsible for assisting with the harvesting, processing, trimming, and preparation of cannabis plants for production. This position plays an important role in maintaining product quality, production efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable performing repetitive tasks for extended periods, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Essential Responsibilities Harvesting Assist with harvesting cannabis plants according to established production schedules and procedures. Cut, remove, transport, and prepare plants for processing. Handle cannabis plants carefully to minimize damage and preserve product quality. Follow harvesting procedures for different strains and production requirements. Accurately weigh and record harvested material as required. Maintain organized work areas and properly identify and stage harvested material. Trimming & Processing Trim cannabis flower by hand and/or using approved trimming equipment. Remove excess leaves, stems, and unwanted plant material according to company quality standards. Inspect finished flower for appearance, quality, and consistency. Separate and properly process flower, trim, and other plant material according to production requirements. Maintain consistent trimming standards throughout each production batch. Meet established production goals while maintaining quality and accuracy. Quality & Compliance Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Follow applicable state cannabis regulations and facility compliance requirements. Maintain accurate production, inventory, and batch records as required. Immediately report contamination, damaged product, equipment issues, or other quality concerns to management. Follow proper product handling and traceability procedures. Sanitation & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Clean and sanitize tools, work surfaces, equipment, and production areas according to SOPs. Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow all workplace safety procedures. Properly dispose of plant waste and other production waste. Report unsafe conditions, injuries, or hazards to management. General Production Support Assist with other cultivation and post-harvest activities as needed. Assist with packaging, bucking, sorting, weighing, and staging when assigned. Maintain a productive and professional working environment. Work cooperatively with cultivation, production, and distribution teams. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous cannabis cultivation, harvesting, trimming, or production experience preferred. Previous agricultural, manufacturing, warehouse, or other production experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work efficiently while performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Ability to bend, reach, squat, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds . Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures, odors, and noise levels. Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods. Work Environment This position is primarily performed in an indoor cultivation and post-harvest production environment. Employees may work around cannabis plants, soil or growing media, production equipment, cleaning chemicals, and other agricultural materials. The position may require extended periods of standing and repetitive work, particularly during harvest periods.
