at Sweet Tree Holdings 1 LLC in Island Pond, Vermont, United States Job Description Sweet Tree Holdings is looking for Entry Level Woods Workers to join our team! A Woods Worker is responsible for the hands on work of fall maintenance, tapping, leak checking, leak repairs, and tap pulling. They can perform a variety of tasks throughout these seasons based on what the woods manager they report to needs for the day-to-day operation of the bush. This is a seasonal position (October - April/May).

THIS IS CONSIDERED A FULL TIME SEASONAL POSITION

Duties/Responsibilities Fall maintenance of the sugarbush and preparation for tapping and leak checking. Tapping to Sweet Tree's tapping quality standards. Leak checking and repairs during sugar season and maintain Sweet Tree's vacuum standards and quality. Pull taps expediently with none being missed. Maintain Sweet Trees values and culture within the sugarbush. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak and understand the English language is required for safe and effective performance of the job. Education and Experience Related experience preferred. At least one month of experience in sugaring or other agricultural work required. Physical Requirements Physically able to be standing and walking for most of the day in woods and mountainous environments. Physically able to install and operate sugaring equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. Able to work independently or in small groups in remote settings Other Employees are required to provide their own layers and outerwear appropriate and effective for temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit/-28 degrees Celsius and winter precipitation, including boots, parka/jacket, rain gear (pants and jackets), hats, gloves, and base layers.
