Job Description

Firewood Processor Operator - Martens Firewood Martens Firewood is looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our growing firewood operation as a full-time Firewood Processor Operator. Your primary responsibility will be operating our commercial firewood processor and helping keep our production operation running safely, efficiently, and consistently. What You'll Do Operate a commercial firewood processor to cut and split logs into finished firewood Feed and manage logs through the processing operation Monitor the processor, conveyors, and surrounding work area during production Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance according to manufacturer procedures Recognize equipment problems and stop production when something is unsafe or not operating correctly Keep the processing area clean, organized, and safe Track basic daily production and downtime Assist with general firewood-yard work when needed Who We're Looking For We care more about finding the right person than finding someone who has operated this exact machine before. Training will be provided.
The ideal candidate is:
Extremely dependable and punctual Mechanically inclined and comfortable around equipment Safety-conscious and able to follow operating procedures Comfortable working outdoors and around firewood, logs, sawdust, and machinery Able to stay productive without constant supervision Willing to learn and take responsibility for equipment and production Experience with farming, logging, firewood, sawmills, construction, manufacturing, skid steers, tractors, heavy equipment, or mechanical work is a plus, but not required. Schedule & Pay Full-time, Monday-Friday, approximately 40 hours per week.
Pay:
$20-$25/hour depending on experience and qualifications. There is opportunity for increased pay and responsibility as you become proficient, dependable, and capable of taking greater ownership of production. Why Work With Martens Firewood?
