Job Description

Position Overview Form-A-Feed is seeking high-performing, motivated young professionals with a passion for livestock production to join our Summer Internship Program. This hands-on internship provides real-world experience in livestock nutrition, farm operations, and agricultural business. The planned duration for this paid internship will be May - August, approximately a 10-to-12-week commitment. Interns will work directly with our team and customers across the dairy, beef, and swine industries, gaining exposure to both the technical and relationship-driven aspects of our business. What You'll Do Assist with on-farm visits alongside nutritionists and sales team members Collect, organize and analyze production data related to efficiency, yield and quality metrics. Monitor production processes and assigned project development Support livestock nutrition and production initiatives Participate in feed, herd, or production data collection and analysis Assist with customer support and product education Contribute to a summer-long project with measurable business impact Present final project findings to leadership at the end of the internship What You'll Learn Practical application of livestock nutrition in real-world settings Supply chain and inventory management Team collaboration and strong customer and producer support How Form-A-Feed supports producers through customized solutions The role of relationships and service in agricultural sales Exposure to feed mill operations and supply chain (as applicable) Qualifications Candidates for the internship program are pursuing a degree in: Animal Science Agricultural Business Dairy, Swine, or Beef Production (or related field) Strong academic performance and work ethic Demonstrated background or familiarity with livestock production Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience Farm or livestock experience (dairy, beef, or swine) Involvement in FFA, 4-H, or collegiate ag organizations Interest in careers in livestock nutrition, ag sales, or technical services What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Hands-on, meaningful experience in the livestock industry Mentorship from experienced professionals Exposure to customers and real-world livestock and animal production challenges Potential consideration for future employment with

Ability to bend, stretch, twist and/or reach with your arms and legs Ability to safely lift objects and/or products, up to 50 lbs. Ability to listen and understand instructions and information and communicating the same Ability to read, write and perform mathematical equations Ability to understand complex data, formulations and information Ability to interpret complex information and explain its meaning to others Ability to understand business critical information and negotiate purchasing and pricing opportunities Ability to stay strong under pressure, evaluating large amounts of data Ability to think rationally and portray sound judgment
