Goodrich Area Schools Lunchroom/Playground Aide Position Summary:
The Lunchroom/Playground Aide is responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of students in both the lunchroom and playground areas.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Previous work with elementary-aged students preferred. Must be able to work with and relate well to elementary students and staff members. Must be able perform job responsibilities as listed below.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Transport students to and from cafeteria and playground. Provide and model directions for students on proper cafeteria and playground behavior. Handle the transport and if necessary, administration of emergency medications. Ensure cafeteria and playground are safe environments. Be able to handle student disputes and concerns. Plan and implement daily age-appropriate activities on playground or inside recess. Work in cooperation with staff and administrators. Follow all program and district rules, policies, and procedures. Maintain professionalism, a positive attitude, and loyalty to the school and district. Treat all students and staff with respect and dignity. Complete other duties as assigned by administration.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed at Oaktree elementary. There is limited exposure to physical risk.

Building principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
2.5 hours, Monday through Friday, student days only.
COMPENSATION
Contracted through GECS. $18.50 / hour. Paid sick, holiday and snow days.
