Responsibilities Assist the bus driver in supervising students during transportation, ensuring they board and disembark safely. Support students with special needs or disabilities by providing behavioral management and physical assistance as needed. Enforce school policies and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for all students on the bus. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and address conflicts promptly and effectively. Communicate clearly with students, parents, and school staff regarding student needs, behaviors, or safety concerns. Support emergency procedures, including evacuation drills and responses to incidents or accidents, following established protocols. Maintain confidentiality of student information and handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion. Experience Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable. Experience supporting students with special education needs or behavioral challenges is preferred. Knowledge of school policies, safety regulations, and transportation procedures is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including children with physical disabilities or behavioral differences. Familiarity with classroom experience or teaching support roles can enhance your effectiveness in this position.
