Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Bus Aide, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive experience of students during transportation. Your energetic and compassionate approach will support students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements. By assisting with student supervision, behavior management, and safety protocols, you help create a secure and nurturing environment on every bus ride. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives while working within a dynamic educational setting. Responsibilities Assist the bus driver in supervising students during transportation, ensuring they board and disembark safely. Support students with special needs or disabilities by providing behavioral management and physical assistance as needed. Enforce school policies and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for all students on the bus. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and address conflicts promptly and effectively. Communicate clearly with students, parents, and school staff regarding student needs, behaviors, or safety concerns. Support emergency procedures, including evacuation drills and responses to incidents or accidents, following established protocols. Maintain confidentiality of student information and handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion. Experience Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable. Experience supporting students with special education needs or behavioral challenges is preferred. Knowledge of school policies, safety regulations, and transportation procedures is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including children with physical disabilities or behavioral differences. Familiarity with classroom experience or teaching support roles can enhance your effectiveness in this position. Pay:
$17.21 - $23.59 per hour
