Job Opening Information Anticipated Full Time Bus Monitor Application Deadline 10/24/2026 Position Title Anticipated Full Time Bus Monitor Required Application Type School Related Personnel Salary/Pay Scale $16.57/hr Job Description Full-time probationary monitor position in the Transportation Department. Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus. Inspects transportation passes to prevent unauthorized travel. Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus safely. Completes appropriate discipline reports and submits to supervisor. Assists pupils who have a disabling condition. Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion. Carries out any other assigned duties and/or responsibilities which may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education.

•Civil Service Title Monitor Job Qualifications Possess even temperament and ability to comprehend and carry out the objectives of the position in a way conducive to good personal relationships. Also, possesses good judgment, good moral character, personal cleanliness, is courteous, neat, cooperative, punctual, tactful, dependable, honest and loyal. Must complete a 3-hour pre-service training course prior to employment Must complete a Basic First Aid Course if required by the student's IEP.
