Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a School Bus Monitor/Aid and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive experience of students during transportation. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will supervise students on school buses, assist with behavior management, and support transportation safety protocols. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a secure and welcoming environment for all students, including those with special needs. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives while gaining valuable experience in education support and student supervision. Responsibilities Supervise students during bus rides, ensuring their safety and comfort from pick-up to drop-off Enforce school policies and transportation safety regulations to maintain order on the bus Assist students with disabilities or special needs, providing support for mobility, behavior management, and communication as needed Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and resolve conflicts calmly and effectively Communicate clearly with students, drivers, parents, and school staff regarding student needs or incidents Support emergency procedures including evacuation drills and response protocols in accordance with safety regulations Handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining professionalism at all times Requirements Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, staff, and emergency responders Ability to handle conflict situations calmly while maintaining a positive environment Physical ability to assist with student mobility support as needed and remain alert during long periods of supervision This role is ideal for compassionate individuals eager to contribute to student safety while developing skills in behavior management, special education support, and transportation safety. Pay:
From $16.50 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
