Job Description
•Position includes assisting Special Needs students
•
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Student Safety & Supervision:
Monitor student behavior, enforce rules, and maintain an orderly environment during transit.
Loading & Unloading:
Assist passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle, including operating wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement systems.
Adaptive Equipment:
Properly fasten 5 Point harnesses, Safety Vests, and wheelchair tie-downs according to specific safety protocols.
Medical & Emergency Support:
Respond to behavioral changes, medical episodes (such as seizures), or emergencies, and assist with bus evacuation procedures as outlined by guidelines.
Communication:
Coordinate with bus drivers, parents, transportation, and school staff regarding student needs or behavioral incidents.
Recordkeeping:
Complete daily medicaid sheets, seating charts, and incident reports
