R Youth Athletic Instructor
Job Description
SUMMARY The Youth Recreation Instructor plans, organizes, and leads recreational, educational, and enrichment activities for youth in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. This role encourages physical activity, social development, teamwork, and personal growth through engaging programs, games, sports, arts, and special events. The instructor serves as a positive role model, ensures participant safety, maintains program equipment and facilities, and communicates effectively with participants, parents, and staff to deliver high-quality recreation experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

They may also be modified with additions, deletions or changes required to obtain organizational goals and objectives. Uphold the philosophy of the Parks, Recreation & Library Department. Plan and lead age-appropriate recreational and educational activities Supervise participants to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Set up, maintain, and store program equipment and supplies. Enforce program and City rules and safety procedures. Respond appropriately to emergencies and complete reports as needed. Communicate with parents, guardians, and staff regarding participant needs and program updates.

CERTIFICATIONS
Must be at least 16 years of age Obtain a certification in first aid and CPR or attend City of Englewood sponsored training.
