Position Title:
Activities Assistant Schedule:
Part-time, 8-hours/week; every Sunday (10am-4pm)
Pay:
$17.50-20.00/hour (depending on education/licensure level and employment experience)

Primary Responsibilities:
Planning, coordinating and implementing calendar activities based on the resident population interests. These activities will be designed to meet their physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual needs. Responsible for creating opportunities for daily 1:1 visits with all residents to invite and inform of activities, conversation, support, etc. Maintain accurate daily documentation of the resident's attendance and participation level Distribute and post material regarding events, programs, activities, etc. Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting recreation space for residents, families, and staff Communicate with Director of Therapeutic Recreation for supply, program, and resident need Provide appropriate therapeutic recreation interventions for residents Perform other duties as assigned by the
Director of Therapeutic Recreation Qualifications:
Must possess a High School diploma or GED Experience working with seniors or in a health care setting preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent oral and written communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to anticipate resident needs are qualities for success in this position.
