Activities Assistant-Full Time

Greencroft Goshen - Goshen, IN

Hourly Rate:

$14.44 - $18.45 depending on experience

As an Activities Assistant, you'll help bring energy, connection, and meaningful moments to each day for residents living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other memory-related challenges.

Whether you're leading a creative activity, encouraging someone to join a group, celebrating a special occasion, or simply sharing a conversation, your work will help residents feel included, valued, and at home. You'll collaborate with a caring team to create engaging experiences that support cognitive stimulation, social connection, emotional well-being, and plenty of smiles.

Your Role in the Team

As our Activities Assistant, you will:

Help plan and lead creative, engaging, and meaningful activities based on residents' interests and abilities.

Encourage residents to participate while respecting their individual preferences and comfort levels.

Create opportunities for social interaction, cognitive stimulation, movement, creativity, and fun.

Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and fellow team members.

Assist with special events, celebrations, outings, and community programs.

Complete required reports, forms, and other administrative responsibilities.

Participate in community planning and support activities throughout the facility.

Stay current on applicable federal and state regulations and activity-program requirements.

Help maintain a welcoming, supportive, and person-centered environment.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Weekend and holiday rotation

What You'll Bring

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two or more years of experience working with older adults.

A dependable, cooperative, and enthusiastic approach.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Creativity and the ability to plan programs that residents will enjoy.

A genuine desire to support and care for older adults.

Specialized training in dementia and Alzheimer's care, along with a willingness to participate in continued education related to memory care.
